This is a blog about cooking, eating and enjoying food. I’ll write about recipes, cookbooks, ingredients, and cooking utensils and equipment. Most recipes will be vegetarian, with the occasional fish dish thrown in. I eat a lot of whole grains, beans, vegetables and fruit, so that’s what most recipes will be about. I’m a graduate student with limited time and money, so I’ll write about cooking things that are manageable in terms of both.
There’s a lot of diet and nutrition information out there, but what seems to be tried and tested is a simple diet that’s rich in color and variety and not very processed. I hope to share my adventures in eating with a food philosophy that Michael Pollan sums up as “Eat Food. Not too much. Mostly plants.“
