About
I started this blog in 2008 when I was in grad school and had a fair amount of time to read cookbooks and food blogs, think about food, cook, and eat with friends. Then I spent a year living out of a suitcase in three different cities, starting a new job, and working all the time. I ate a lot of yogurt standing at the kitchen counter at 9pm. A few months ago, I started to come home earlier, cracked open a few of my favorite cookbooks, and have started cooking again. I live alone now, so it’s a different set of challenges to cook and menu plan for just me.
I don’t have a special camera or loads of time to artfully plate and photograph what I eat, and I don’t fancy myself a recipe inventor, so it’s mostly just me writing about experimenting with feeding myself and my friends.
