Dude. I bought a juice extractor yesterday. Ever use one? It is, hands down, the most incredible contraption. Why didn't we have one in our apartment? Right now I'm sipping on some fresh grapefruit juice, straight from the juicer. I think I'm in love. I may not have running water, or substantial barbed wire guarding my house, or 24-hour electricity, or a bed with a real mattress...but I have a juice extractor. And it is glorious. If you know any good smoothie recipes using mangoes or pineapples let me know!

We demand food-based commentary from Miami! Please do some cooking in your (undoubtedly string) bikini!

Failing that, we'll reconnect when you're back in BOS, yes?

chicken has no flavour. who eats plain chicken? no one. they salt it, marinade it, drown it in some w.t. casserole, but no one eats it plain. it has no flavour.

chickens make good pets, though. i want silkies. the dogs might not approve.

I’ve read that adding oil to the huevos haminados doesn’t add anything to the flavor, and only makes them slippery and harder to shell. So I don’t add oil. I cook them for about 10 hours.
